It’s been confirmed that the candidates for Bengaluru North, South and Central have been finalised.
Prof Rajeev Gowda is to be fielded for Bengaluru North, Sowmya Reddy for Bengaluru South and Mansoor Ali Khan for Bengaluru Central.
Rajeev Gowda is a former Rajya Sabha MP, committed to education in the country’s IT hub.
Sowmya Reddy will most likely be pitted against the BJP’s vocal Tejaswi Surya.
Mansoor must seek to dislodge PC Mohan who hasn’t lost an election yet.
Others in the final list include L Hanumanthayya from Kolar and Jayaprakash Hegde from Udupi, sources said.
