The mysterious lady who slapped a POCSO case against former chief minister B.S.Yediyurappa has now been seen with KPCC President D.K.Shivakumar.
Unclear whether this picture has been photoshopped or not, it has been uploaded on social media on Sunday, adding heft to the BJP leaders accusations of the Congress leaders being behind the filing of the POCSO case against Yeddyurappa, a day after the declaration of dates for the Lok Sabha polls.
The lady, in the complainant, had alleged that the Lingayat stalwart had sexually assaulted her daughter at his Dollar's Colony home and threatened her, if she filed the police report. According to her, this alleged incident took place on February 2 but she filed the complaint only after a month.
The Home Minister, Dr G.Parameshwar promised a probe even as it came to light that the woman had filed over 50 similar cases against the top IAS, IPS officers, and is seen in political circles as a habitual blackmailer.
The BJP pointed fingers at the Congress elements while at the same time, the involvement of disgruntled leaders in the BJP unhappy with the strongman of Shivamogga ahead of the parliamentary polls, could not be ruled out.
The picture of the woman with Shivakumar, only days after the POCSO scandal, excited comment, as so far, she has not made any serious charges against the 'Kanakapura bande' (boulder of Kanakapura) .
BJP sources said it was a ploy by the Congress to show that the Congress party was not behind this vilification campaign to tarnish Yediyurappa as it was also a victim of such a campaign. Congress insiders also said that it was too much of a stretch to blame Congress infighting as being behind the bid to malign the party deputy chief minister.
"This is the BJP"s social media campaign to muddy the waters, it is not a Siddarramaiah vs DK battle" the Congress party said, in reference to the rivalry between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and D.K Shivakumar.
