Grabbing the opportunity that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi virtually gifted the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a huge swipe at the I.N.D.I Alliance for “insulting Hindu ‘Shakti’.
Speaking in Shivamogga, the BJP stronghold in Karnataka, Modi unleashed one salvo after another at the hapless Congress’ call to defeat Modi’s ‘Shakti’, which the PM in a smart turnaround said was the female deity that millions worshipped.
Modi on Monday called upon the people to defeat the INDIA bloc whose only aim was to destabilise Bharath.
"The soul of Balasaheb Thackeray might be sad to hear about the INDI alliance partners speaking against the Hindu Shakti which has been the soul of Bharath. These alliance partners don't hesitate to divide the nation.”
“In a country where Shakti is worshipped, the INDI leaders have insulted Shakti and also Bharath Matha. Time has come for every woman voter to teach a lesson to the opportunistic alliance, which wants to undo what has been done in the last ten years", he said while addressing the mammoth rally in Shivamogga city.
The PM said the attack against Shakti had been spoken at Shivaji park in Mumbai, where every Mumbaikar chants Jai Bhavani and Jai Shivaji Maharaj slogans.
“Shri Chatrapati Maharaj has the blessings of Shakti to establish the Hindu Rashtra. But the INDI alliance partners have not only insulted Shakti but also her devotees. Let those leaders talk against Shakti and the countrymen vow to defeat their evil designs. The Congress party, even after 75 years of Independence, hasn't come out of thinking of divide and rule policy adopted by the British to rule Bharath”.
“A Congress MP from Karnataka spoke on the division of Bharath and instead of throwing him out of the party, leaders defended his statement. Such is the mindset of the Congress leaders, “ Modi said.
Terming the Congress led state government as the most corrupt, Modi said the state of Karnataka has a Chief Minister, a Chief Minister in waiting, a super chief minister and a shadow chief minister.
“Above all of them, there was a collection minister in Delhi. For the Congress party, Karnataka has become an ATM to loot money. The whole Congress government was into looting the tax payers money. So they have no money to spend on development and blame the government of India for everything.“
The BJP led NDA Government has done lot of development in the last ten years and it has plans to take the country to new heights in the next five years, he said. The people's support was required, exhorting the crowd to vote for the NDA candidates in all 28 seats.
Standing alongside were BJP stalwarts former CM B.S.Yediyurappa, State BJP President B.Y.Vijendra, Shivamogga MP B.Y. Raghavendra.
The PM headed out to Coimbatore where he unleashed a searing attack on the DMK government.
